Selectic gives an AI agent the ability to contact businesses on your behalf — by phone, SMS, and email — and hands back detailed call notes and replies. You drive it from Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, or any MCP-compatible app; the model decides who to contact and what to ask, Selectic does the reaching out.
Availability: US phone numbers and businesses only for now.
1. Create an account
Sign up with Google or email. Reading results is free; to place calls/texts/emails, add funds from the dashboard. No API key to manage; you authorize Claude/ChatGPT with a browser sign-in.
2. Connect (remote MCP)
Add Selectic as a custom MCP connector in Claude or ChatGPT, then click Connect and sign in when prompted:
https://selectic.pro/api/mcpOr run it locally over stdio (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Cline, …) — it opens a browser to sign in:
npx -y @selectic/mcp@latestWorks with (any app, any model)
Selectic is a standard remote MCP server, so it works with any MCP-compatible app — and with whatever model is behind it, including free ones. Selectic is just the outreach layer; the model your assistant runs is what drives it.
Popular models: Claude · ChatGPT · Gemini · Perplexity · Grok · DeepSeek · Llama · Mistral · Qwen.
- Claude: Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- ChatGPT: Settings → Connectors → Add (you may need Developer Mode under Advanced).
- Perplexity (Pro/Max/Enterprise): Connectors → + Custom connector → choose OAuth.
- Gemini: via the Gemini CLI, Gemini Enterprise, or the API — the consumer Gemini app doesn't add custom connectors yet.
- Any other MCP client (Cursor, Cline, LibreChat, …): add the URL above, or use the stdio one-liner. Pair it with any model, including free ones.
3. Use it
Just ask, in plain language:
"Call a dentist in Austin and ask the cash price for a cleaning." "Text +1… and ask if they have a 7pm table Saturday." "Email sales@acme.com for a bulk quote on 50 units." "Call the supplier tomorrow at 9am their time and ask about drop-shipping."Tools

Set defaults once (dashboard, update_call_settings, or the API below) and override them on any single call — place_call accepts every one of these:
rulesHard rules the agent must never break, e.g. ["Never agree to a price", "Never share bank details"]. They go first in the agent's instructions with top priority. During the call every sentence the agent says is checked against them; a broken rule ends the call at once with a one-line retraction and is logged in ruleViolations. The check runs as each sentence is reported, so it stops the call right after the offending sentence, not before it.voicemailcallback (default: a short message asking them to call back), hangup (leave nothing), or custom with voicemailMessage (your exact words).retries / retrySpacingMinutesExtra attempts when nobody answers or the line is busy — 0 to 5, default 0; spacing 1–1440 minutes, default 10. Each attempt is its own call, billed like any call. get_call shows nextAttempt.voiceelliot (default), rohan, dan, leo, savannah, leah, tara, emma — English voices.languageen (default), es (Spanish), fr (French). The agent listens and speaks in that language; same price.startAtPlace the call later: an ISO date-time with offset, up to 30 days ahead. The money is held now; get_call shows 'scheduled'; end_call cancels it.callerIddefault — your usual number: your verified number if set as default, else your personal number if you rent one, else Selectic's. verified — your own number, after verify_caller_id. personal — your rented number. shared — Selectic's common number. A business that calls Selectic's or your personal number back reaches an assistant that finishes the task.Do not call. If the person on the line asks not to be called again, the agent apologizes and ends the call, and the number goes on your do-not-call list and on Selectic's platform-wide list. Every new call checks both and is refused (DO_NOT_CALL). You can view and edit your own list; the platform list keeps the callee's request. This is not the national Do Not Call Registry — you are responsible for checking it where it applies.
Your number as caller ID. Verify a US or Canadian number you own with a code sent by text or voice call; calls can then show it, and businesses that call back reach you directly.
Where it sends from. By default each email goes from a one-off reply address on dm.plus. Your assistant can also send from its own inbox (my_inbox, e.g. natalia.ai@dm.plus) or from your own domain (email_domain). Whichever you use, replies come back to get_replies.
Your own domain. Ask your assistant to connect it: email_domain add returns three CNAME records (and a recommended DMARC record) for your DNS provider; once they are in — usually minutes — check marks the domain verified and send_email can use any address on it, signed for your domain. A domain can be connected to one Selectic account; free mail providers can't be used.
Pacing and limits. So outreach never looks like a bulk blast, emails from one account go out 2–5 minutes apart: the first right away, the rest queued (status "scheduled" with sendAt) and sent automatically. Each sender sends at most 20 emails in 24 hours — each of your own domains, each assistant inbox address, and the one-off reply addresses together — and an account at most 100. More domains or addresses mean more room. A brand-new domain with no sending history can warm up (email_domain warmup on): 5 a day the first week, 10 the second, then the normal limit. A domain you already send mail from needs no warm-up.
REST API
Everything above is also plain HTTPS. Authenticate with a personal API key as Authorization: Bearer slc_live_… (ask hello@selectic.pro for one), or from the signed-in dashboard.
Example:
curl https://selectic.pro/api/calls -H "Authorization: Bearer slc_live_…" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{"phone":"+13055551234","objective":"Ask the price of a 2-hour moving job", "rules":["Never agree to a price","Never share bank details"], "voicemail":"hangup","retries":2,"retrySpacingMinutes":30,"voice":"savannah"}'Pricing
Reads (get_call / get_replies / list_outreach) and end_call are always free. To place calls or send SMS/email, add funds — pay-as-you-go from your prepaid balance, calls $0.20/min, SMS $0.01 each, email $0.01 each. When a call finishes we also email you a link to the result, so it reaches you even after you close the chat.
Privacy & compliance
Calls aren’t audio-recorded by default, but the full transcript of every call is written and kept so you can read exactly what was said. The assistant identifies itself as an AI if asked and never claims to be human. Use Selectic for legitimate, user-directed outreach — not bulk cold-contact. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your outreach, including call-recording laws and the national Do Not Call Registry.
